Meet the Founder
Simple Business Solutions manifested from the folds of the shifting life experiences of its founder, Chris Fern.
In his youth, he was interested in and passionate about music. He also had another passion - technology. For 15 years he worked in the technology field as a computer salesperson, a computer technician, a programmer adept in many programming languages, a help desk technician, and the list goes on.
As he grew into maturity, he began realizing that technology was not his passion - he found that sitting down with his guitar and a song in his head became more a solace than those hours hunched over a keyboard and becoming irate because a logical system was failing. In a rather unconventional way, he realized that people were not meant to sit a keyboard all day - that computers, the machines designed entirely on logic and following instructions, were the furthest thing from the human spirit that there could be.
As his days went on, the real passion and the real essence of what he believed to be his Truth surfaced - music and vibration. He realized that this discovery could only start from within, however and knew that if he did not move past his current state of mental angst, there would be no way he could help others successfully. He began frequenting personal mastery groups, learning different perspectives, working with various coaches, and began his journey down the path to personal mastery.
Soon, another passion emerged - helping others move past the roadblocks that they have put in their way and really accomplish what it is they set out to do - to accomplish it with clarity and intention. With one foot on one path, and the other foot on the other path, his life transformed.
He began to meet amazing artists in the music industry, began playing the instruments that had lay dormant in his closet or in his room, and chose to develop simpler ways to manage his own life to honor those two passions. He began the creation of a financial management system and wrote programs and that served as the infants of the more mature products sold today at SBS. That system allowed him to spend 40 minutes a month on his finances while paying all of his bills on time, buying what he wanted, and saving for what he needed on the same salary that, not one year earlier, was paying for overdraft fees and past due bills. He began recording musicians, allowing some of them to hear, for the first time, how amazing an artist they really were.
He began giving to his community, providing ways for those that once wanted to experience the joyous release only found when interacting with music to do so once again. Thus, Simple Business Solutions was born.
